30 years of paddling the Juniata!

1981
April 23 - Raystown Canoe Club, Inc. is incorporated as a nonprofit 501(c) corporation under the Nonprofit Corporation law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The first annual membership meeting was on July 27, 1981 at the Juniata Hotel in Everett were six people were elected to the Board of Directors, and the first official Bloody Run Canoe Classic boat race was proposed for April 25 - 26 of that same year.

Water Trail Inauguration
The Raystown Canoe Club helped Pennsylvania celebrate the inauguration of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River Water Trail, a class I water course ideal for novice canoeists.
